Description

BHT stands for butylated hydroxytoluene. It is a preservative and antioxidant that is used in skincare and cosmetic formulations to stabilize the formulation and prevent oxidation. It also helps to reduce contamination of the product through use. It works well with most ingredients including most other antioxidants, helping to boost their effectiveness. Application: moisturizers, cleansers, and perfume
Recommended usage rate: 0.01 – 0.1%
Soluble in ethanol. To use, dissolve BHT in ethanol before introducing distilled water and then using in your formula. Add in cool down phase
