Cetyl alcohol

Description

Cetyl alcohol is a common ingredient used in a variety of personal care products and cosmetics (eg, skin lotion, shampoo, sunscreen, hair removal cream, mascara, etc). It is derived from vegetable oils such as coconut or palm oil.

Uses: Helps prevent creams from separating into oils and liquid. It serves as an o/w emulsifier that helps to keep liquid and oil together.
It also helps in making products thicker and more stable.

Application: Lotions, Conditioners, Shampoo, makeup products
Recommended usage rate: 0.5-10%
Add in the oil phase of formulation
