Hydrogenated castor oil is pressed from the bean of the castor plant and then purifed by heat and filtration. It is liquid at room temperature.
Hydrogenated castor oil is used as an emollient to soften and moisturize the skin without clogging the pores.
It also acts as an emulsifer, binding oils with liquids, as a surfactant to reduce surface tension of products.
Application: Moisturizers, body butters, soaps, cleansers, skin peel, shower gel, face mask, shampoo, conditioner etc.
Usage rate: 1-25%
