Isopropyl alcohol is also known as rubbing alcohol is used in skincare and cosmetic products to help improve the application and absorption of the other ingredients in your product. Isopropyl alcohol is better suited for skincare because it readily evaporates from the skin. This evaporation means that it often isn’t in contact with the skin for long enough to cause any damage or irritation.
