Description

Lye in the form of both sodium hydroxide is used in making soap. Potassium hydroxide soaps are softer and more easily dissolved in water than sodium hydroxide soaps. When lye mixes with oil, it becomes soap after it saponifies. INCI: Sodium Hydroxide
