Sodium phytate, also known as Phytic Acid is the sodium salt of phytic acid.
It is an all natural chelating agent that can be used in place of disodium and tetrasodium EDTA in cosmetic products.
Sodium phytate is generally used in stabilizing products, but in larger concentrations it provides skin lightening effect.
